Village Confines Consultation ends

Mon, 11 Feb 2019 10:00

Village Confines Consultation - ENDS

Planning Officers at Ashford Borough Council have drawn the confines around all the larger and medium sized rural settlements in the borough, but not Wye. Ashford Borough Council intends to confirm these mapped lines for the purposes of determining future relevant planning applications.

The proposed map-based 'confines' will help to guide and inform decision-making for planning applications where development is proposed on land adjacent to or within settlements listed in policies HOU5 and HOU3a. This will mean that residents and developers have a greater degree of clarity and certainty.

The Wye Neighbourhood Plan includes a confines map for the boundary of the whole village, with the exception of the WYE3 area.
