AONB Management Plan

All twelve Local Authorities with land in the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) have adopted the Kent Downs AONB Management Plan 2014 - 2019. This document provides clear aims, policies and actions for the conservation management and enhancement of the AONB, and it frames a twenty year vision.

'The goal of the Management Plan is to ensure that the natural beauty and special character of the landscape and vitality of the communities are recognised, maintained and strengthened well into the future.'

The Management Plan is undergoing a review of policies and priorities for the next five years.
