About Wye Village Hall

The Small Village Hall is a light and airy room, with wood block flooring and large whiteboard make it the perfect venue for children's parties, dinners, social events, clubs and meetings for up to 100 people.

The hall has its own, recently renovated small kitchen and there are patio doors which open onto the enclosed garden and grass area to the rear of The Wye Centre. The hall has full blackout curtains, which enables it to be used as a cinema.

The Large Village Hall can accommodate up to 180 people and it is large enough to have a permanent badminton court. This hall is home to the Short Mat Bowls club, Badminton club and many more local clubs, societies and groups.

The large kitchen has two servery bars, which provide direct access to both halls. This kitchen has been modernised and updated recently. This gives ample cooking space for most types of catering, from providing cups of tea and coffee to being suitable for use by outside caterers at major functions, such as wedding receptions or special birthday parties. The rebuilt WCs off the Large Hall now include a dedicated baby changing room, and the high barrel vault ceiling in the Large Hall has a new accoustic surface. The Large Hall also has access to the enclosed garden.

The Reece Pavilion opened in August 2019. This is a new south facing community room and veranda with panoramic views over the recreation ground, folding tables and stackable chairs and WiFi. The soft furnishings can be moved around to suit. There is a kitchenette with sink, fridge with ice box, microwave, kettle, crockery and cutlery. This light and airy space is ideal for small social or family gatherings and informal meetings. The pavilion is self-contained, with its own access ramp, accessible toilet and baby change facility, and a flat screen TV.

The Meeting Room opened in November 2018. This new self-contained meeting room seats 10 and has its own integral kitchen and WC. The meeting room is easily accessible off the new atrium, and as a breakout space from both halls. The Meeting Room benefits from having folding soundproof doors.

Wye Polling Station At election time the Large Village Hall serves as the polling station for the whole parish. The Wye Centre project 2014 - 2019 also installed new access ramps, added new disabled parking bays and improved the car park layout.

Public Transport Wye Village Hall is easy to access by public transport as it is approximately 300m from Wye Station is within 50m of a request bus stop (Stagecoach Route 1, 1A and 1X).
