The Rolvenden Rocket: A community transport project managed by Rolvenden Parish Council. The Wye Flyer project aims to operate two similar vehicles based in Wye.

About the Wye Flyer
The Wye Flyer project aims to meet local demand and integrate the needs for a range of community transport services in Wye and the surrounding parishes. The plan is to develop a financially self-sustaining operation with two high quality 16 seat mini-buses based in Wye. The project is a partnership between Wye with Hinxhill Parish Council, Lady Joanna Thornhill Primary School and The Friends of Lady Joanna Thornhill Primary School. The Parish Council is bringing representatives of potential user groups together, including Brook Community Primary School to help shape the project.
Wye Parish Council is hiring the 'Woodchurch Wagon' for one day a week to provide free outings for residents to test the demand for community transport in Wye. The 'Woodchurch Wagon' is seen here leaving the Village Hall to take Wye Community Lunch members home to Brook and Hastingleigh.
FREE Trial Programme - Spring 2020
The tables below show the minibus trips planned. This programme responds to suggestions from residents and it reflects their preferences for different destinations. The minibus has 15 seats available to book (plus one for the driver), and the vehicle is fully accessible. Each trip will have a guide and a volunteer driver to help less able passengers to alight.
All trips will depart from Wye at 10.00.

Please note: all seats will remain free for Wye residents until the end of the trial in May 2020, but seats MUST be booked in advance.

How the Wye Flyer works
Wye Parish Council is hiring the 'Woodchurch Wagon' to provide free weekly outings for residents. Thanks to the pool of trained volunteer drivers from Woodchurch, who are giving their time to make these trial trips possible, the Wye Flyer project will be stronger and better informed.
