Wye and District Poppy Appeal
Every year, volunteers in Wye and District raise funds for the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal.
The district covers the North Downs parishes of Godmersham, Crundale, Bodsham, Elmsted, Hastingleigh, Brook and Wye with Hinxhill, and includes the hamlets of Bilting and Naccolt.

The Royal British Legion (RBL) rebuilds the lives of veterans and serving members of all three armed services, and their dependents. Individuals in need may be confronting disability, homelessness or unemployment, or struggling to feed their children, or in a financial or mental health crisis. Please see RBL's website for more information about how the annual Poppy Appeal supports this work.
Wye and District Poppy Appeal 2023
Thanks to great local generosity, and the active support from local businesses and volunteer collectors, Wye and District raised a total of £5,443.23 for the 2023 Poppy Appeal.
Once again the three card reader machines allocated to the Wye and District proved to be very helpful, and for the first time it could process gift aid on donations. Also for the first time Wye and District received cashless donations via its own QR code.
Given the shortage of local volunteers, and the challenge of making door-to-door collections again this year, particular thanks are due to Nick and the team at the King's Head for hosting Wye's pop-up Poppy Shop.
Thank you again to all who supported the 2023 Poppy Appeal.
