Wye and District Poppy Appeal
Every year, volunteers in Wye and District raise funds for the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal. Please click on the green bar above for a report on the the 2023 Poppy Appeal. The district covers the North Downs parishes of Godmersham, Crundale, Bodsham, Elmsted, Hastingleigh, Brook and Wye with Hinxhill, and includes the hamlets of Bilting and Naccolt.

Wye Surgery
Wye Surgery is an established doctor's practice with a purpose-built surgery for registered patients. In addition to GP services Wye Surgery also offers minor surgery under local anaesthetic and a wide range of other clinics, medical support and dispensing services. Wye Surgery serves a patient catchment area of around 125 square miles. (Please note: Wye Surgery no longer treats minor injuries - click on the green bar above for more information).

Rural Crime Network
The National Rural Crime Network is working to see greater recognition and understanding of the problems and impact of crime in rural areas so more can be done to keep people safer. Funded by the Home Office, the National Rural Crime Network (NRCN) looks at innovative ways to reduce crime in rural areas, provides information and support for rural communities, and share best practice. Assets of Community Value
The Localism Act defines an Asset of Community Value (ACV) as 'a building or other land is an asset of community value if its main use has recently been or is presently used to further the social wellbeing or social interests of the local community and could do so in the future.' In 2022 the Parish Council nominated The Green, and the former Methodist Church (FMC) in Wye as ACVs. These initiatives succeeded and they are now both listed as assets of community value.
