About
Citizens' Rights for Older People (Charity Reg. No.1087538) is an independent advocacy service for older people established in 1994. CROP aims to leave an older person stronger and more able to cope.
CROP provides, through a team of volunteers, a free, confidential and independent advocacy service for older people, particularly the vulnerable. This support enables older people in need to resolve problems and make informed decisions in order to achieve their rights and entitlements. The CROP advocacy service is available either at home or in a residential setting.
CROP advocates can assist with a wide range of problems, including:
General Advocacy
Help with completing benefit claims such as:
Attendance Allowance
Carers Allowance
Council Tax Benefit
Financial Affairs
Complaints and Consumer Issues
Abuse: Physical, Mental, Sexual, Financial, Verbal
CROP has offices in Lenham, Ashford and Canterbury.
