Bus Service 14
Wye is served by the number 14 service. This off-peak weekday only bus service runs is a loop that connects the village to Ashford town centre and Sainsbury's. Please see the live tracking map and the Stagecoach website for the scheduled service times and any updates. All scheduled timings are subject to unpredictable delays at Wye level crossing.
The number 14 service accepts bus passes, and payments by cash, contactless and Apple / Google Pay. Mobile tickets and live bus tracking is available on the Stagecoach Bus app. The National Bus Fare Cap (£2.00 for a single journey) applies to this service, until at least 30th June 2024.
Route 1 services between Ashford and Canterbury still operate along the A28, but they no longer stop in Wye. Nor do the through services to Hastings and Tenterden.
Bus stops and shelters
Image: the Parish Council owns and maintains bus shelters in the High Street (Wye church) and Bridge Street (chemists).
There are also request bus stops in Harville Road, Bridge Street (Almshouses), Churchfield Way, and Upper Bridge Street (New Flying Horse, and Wye Library). (The Number 14 service does not stop in Bramble Lane).
Maintaining the bus service around the centre of Wye is a Parish Council priority.
