Access to information
Wye with Hinxhill Parish Council has adopted the Information Commissioner's Model Publication Scheme, and has published the following guide to information available under the scheme.
One of the functions of this new website is to provide public information and access to key documents for public reference. Have you tried the keyword search box on the top right of this page? The answer to your question may be on this website.
The Parish Council aims to publish as much information as possible online. However, some items are only available in hard copy - please ask the Parish Clerk
Please note the Parish Council may withhold certain information, for example if it would reveal personal details about somebody. The Freedom of Information Act (FOI) contains 24 exemptions to the right of access. The exemptions set the boundaries to the rights of access: if information is exempt, then individuals do not have a right of access to it under the Act. The Government provides these national exemptions to achieve a proper balance between the right to know, the right to personal privacy, the protection of commercial interests and the delivery of effective government.
Please follow this link for full details about the Freedom of Information Act
You can use the form below to make a formal request under the Freedom of Information Act, but first, to save time and unnecessary costs, please check with the Parish Clerk whether your query has already been raised before, and whether the information is already available.
The Parish Council may charge for the cost of photocopying and postage.
