About the Wye Flyer Project

Wye Parish Council obtained a grant from Ashford Borough Council to fund the free trial, which will run until the end of May 2020. Wye Parish Council is learning valuable lessons from this practical experience before it makes the considerable commitment in time and money needed to operate vehicles of its own.

The Woodchurch Wagon project launched in August 2019. The minibus hire charges for the weekly outings from Wye are helping this project to gain experience and become financially self-sustaining. Therefore funding for the trial is benefiting the communities in Wye and Woodchurch.
